Auction buying

We deal in both blended and straight-line teas for export market and currently ranked amongst the top ten major buyers in the Mombasa tea auction. With our experienced and competent staff operating in the auction, we have been able to competently purchase teas to the satisfaction of all clients and with much attention to quality/value for money. We taste all pre-auction samples 100% two weeks prior to the auction as a quality control measure. For straight-line business our system of purchasing based on quality has been highly appreciated by all clients. For blend business most clients have trusted our matching and blending techniques for samples sent to us from various markets all over the world for matching. In most cases we have been able to come up with better quality. We understand various market needs and so we have various blend formulations readily available for interested clients/different markets. Tea Value addition

We have a strategic advantage in sourcing fresh teas directly from our KTDA owned factories and we are therefore able to pack fresh teas at all time. We have embraced value addition/new product innovation initiatives in our strategy to foster market growth and efficient service delivery. In that respect, our company has already invested in multi-million modern packaging equipment which addresses our desire to have teas blended and packed in a cleaner and healthy environment.

Direct Sales Overseas

Private SalesApart from auction trading, we deal in private/KTDA direct sales. KTDA produces more than 65 % of Kenyan total tea production. With our strategic advantage of being a subsidiary of KTDA, Our Company has provided the window through which KTDA has managed to sell good volumes overseas without necessarily going through the normal auction process. Sales through this avenue are less costly and guarantee faster returns to the small scale farmer. The Direct sales window also provides an opportunity for the customer to purchase freshly produced teas from the factories. This is a window which can well be exploited by packers who desire to pack fresh teas as we guarantee fast and prompt shipment of same. We do secure other private offers as well from non KTDA factories as per clients’ need.
