Chai F.C. which is currently participating in the Kenya Football Federation (KFF) Mombasa District Premier league was formed in the year 2003 as result of inter- warehouse competitions. Started in 2001 as a way of bonding and enhancement of employee productivity, the Inter-warehouse competition involved the participation of Chai Warehousing staff members from the various units of the company in Football, Darts and Volleyball among other sporting disciplines.
Since its registration by KFF in 2004, Chai F.C. has always emerged tops and is currently the holder of Mombasa Mayor’s cup.
